CBSE National-Level Workshop for Principals and Teachers

The Oxford School hosts CBSE national level workshop on ‘Career Counselling’ for principals and teachers

Enhancing teacher quality is a key element in improving school education and promoting students development. In order to achieve this goal, CBSE aims at providing systematic in-service training for teachers of cbse schools in the country. CBSE Center of Excellence, New Delhi conducted a 3-day workshop for master trainers of CBSE schools across India. The training on ‘Career Counselling’ was conducted at The Oxford School in Kallattumukku from August 8th to 10th. CBSE school principals and teachers from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Chattisgarh attended the workshop.

Dr. Abdul Salam, venue director & Principal of The Oxford School welcomed the participants and V K Jayaram (Section Officer, CBSE Regional Office, Trivandrum) led the first session exhorting the educational leaders to lead their children to climb the ladders of their dream careers successfully. Manish Kumar Thyagi (Asst. Secretary and Head of CBSE Center of Excellence) distributed the training certificates to the participants.

Career counsellors help and motivate students who are confused about their career path. Schools seek the help of professionals to do the work making use of their valuable expertise. But CBSE, by this training camp, aims at making the master trainers, i.e., teachers and principals, capable of doing the same for their students providing best career guidance for students at the schools itself.
