A workshop on Robotics was held at The Oxford School, Trivandrum to impart the knowledge of programming and importance of STEM to the students. Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering and science that combines the various branches of engineering like mechanical, electronic, information, computer science, etc. It deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control.
Teaching robotics in schools is gaining momentum worldwide. Apart from the technological advantage it gives, it also helps in enhancing creative thinking, concentration, confidence, determination and a culture of teamwork in children.
